ABQ Wheatgrass is Organic, Locally Grown

Wonderful Wheatgrass

Wheatgrass, essentially sprouted baby wheatberry, contains 17 amino acids and 92 of the 102 minerals found in the soil. It is one of nature's richest sources of vitamins A and C, more plentiful than in carrots or oranges! Not only does it contain loads of B-complex, but vitamins E and K. Some of the better known essential minerals found in wheatgrass are calcium, phosphorous, iron, potassium, sulfur, sodium, cobalt, and zinc.

The solid content of juice made from wheatgrass is 70 percent chlorophyll. Science has proven that chlorophyll will not only arrest the growth and development of unfriendly bacteria, but that it is akin to human blood. Studies indicate that chlorophyll and hemoglobin consist in part of very similar atoms. It is a natural inhibitor of the immune system.

The ingestion of wheatgrass helps cleanse the blood, organs, and intestinal tract of debris. It stimulates the metabolism and enzyme system, therefor increasing the red blood cell count and dilates the blood pathways, reducing blood pressure.

One ounce of wheatgrass juice has the nutritional value of two and a half pounds of vegetables.

Baby Sprouted Sunflower Greens

Considering that sunflower seeds are almost 25% protein, it is no wonder that sunflower sprouts and greens, grown from these seeds, are nutritional super foods with few rivals. A mere 3.5 ounces of sprouted seeds contains a whopping 22.78 grams of protein! The same amount of chicken breast meat contains just slightly more protein at 26.25 grams. Sunflower sprouts and greens are a rich source of vitamins A, B complex, D and E and minerals including calcium, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium, phosphorus and zinc.

In additional to these vitamins and minerals, sunflower sprouts and greens are a rich source of lecithin which helps break down fatty acids into an easily digestible water soluble form, and chlorophyll which benefits many functions within the body, including building blood supply, revitalizing tissue, calming inflammation, activating enzymes, and deodorizing the body. But if they are this good for you, they must taste bad? Wrong! Sunflower greens are considered a delicacy among gourmets and are known for a crisp nutty flavor.
